ISO 14001:2015 Requirements

This one day course enables you to identify the structure and requirements of an effective environmental management system and what this means to you. You’ll learn to interpret and apply the key concepts and principles of the standard to existing processes within your organisation.

You’ll learn how to initiate an audit, prepare and conduct audit activities, compile and distribute audit reports and complete follow-up activities. The course is suitable for anyone involved in the auditing, maintaining or supervising of an ISO 14001:2015 EMS

  • The guidelines of management system auditing according to ISO 19011:2018
  • The application of these guidelines to auditing ISO 14001:2015
  • How to initiate, prepare and conduct the audit

ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Outcomes

This course will help you:

  • Recognise areas your Certification Body (CB) will be generally looking for to comply with generic internal auditing requirements in management system standards. This will include the meanings and intention of certification criteria and associated theories, methodologies, techniques or tools
  • Prepare, conduct and follow-up on ISO 14001:2015 audit activities
  • Identify and apply the benefits and requirements of an ISO 14001:2015 audit
  • Gain the skills to assess an organisation’s capability to manage its EMS
  • Write factual audit reports

You will gain 16 CPD points on completing the course and receive a certificate of attendance.

ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor

This 5 day course covers the key principles and practices of effective EMS audits in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 19011 "Guidelines for auditing management systems". Using a step-by-step approach, you'll be guided through the entire audit process from initiation to follow-up gaining the knowledge and skills required to undertake and lead a successful environmental management systems audit. This course is ideal for anyone with the need to audit an organisation's ISO 14001:2015 EMS.

Prerequisite:
You should have a good knowledge of ISO 14001 and the key principles of an EMS such as those gained in the ISO 14001:2015 Requirements course. It will also help if you have attended an internal or lead auditor course or have experience with conducting internal or supplier audits.

CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor Content

  • The purpose and benefits of an EMS
  • The role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011
  •  How to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate)

CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor Outcomes

This course will help you:

  • Grasp the aims, benefits and requirements of an ISO 14001:2015 audit 
  • Interpret ISO 14001:2015 requirements for audit application 
  • Plan, conduct and follow-up auditing activities that add real value

Assessment

The course is assessed by a 2 hour exam which tests your knowledge and understanding. You will also receive 40 CPD points.
