IOSH Managing Safely Certification has 7 units (modules):
There is an IOSH Managing Safely mixed-format exam which is taken online. The exam consists of multiple choice questions and must be completed within 45 minutes, with students requiring a pass mark of 36 points out of 60.
Students must also complete the IOSH Managing Safely project; a short practical assessment that demonstrates the student’s ability to conduct a risk assessment. This is completed at the end of the IOSH Managing Safely course. Students need 23 points out of 38 to pass.
If you are studying IOSH Managing Safely Online, both assessments can be completed online.

IOSH Managing Safely is a level 2 qualification, which is equivalent to a GCSE.
There are no formal prerequisites for the IOSH Managing Safely course, although participants must be 16 or over.
The classroom course and live online virtual classroom course are held over 3 days, and the online course is around 25 hours of study which can be completed in 1-3 months

Online & elearning are just different words for the same thing. Distance Learning, means learning at a distance but is commonly used to describe the more traditional paper based study, RRC do provide the complete study text which you can download and study off line thus giving you the option of how you study the course
The IOSH Managing Safely course has two assessments, a mixed-format exam and a short practical assessment at the end of the course. If you are studying IOSH Managing Safely online, assessments can be completed online.
IOSH certificates are now digital, and you will receive your IOSH Managing Safely certificate via email.
Only companies outside of the UK who can provide a valid VAT number will be exempt from VAT. All individuals irrespective of their location will have to pay VAT.
