Do you offer evening/weekend courses?

We do not offer evening or weekend classroom courses, however this course can be studied by e-learning at any time.

Is the Certificate I receive the same if I study by e-learning as when I study in the classroom?

Yes, the Certificate is the exact same. You cannot tell the method of study from the Certificate.

Can I pay the course fees in instalments?

Course fees can be paid in up to a maximum of four monthly instalments. The final instalment must be received at least one month before the start of the course for classroom courses, or the exams.

What is the difference between the National and International Fire Certificate?

The National Certificate is based on UK legislation and is recognised worldwide. The International Certificate is based on International Standards of Best Practice and is recognised by employers outside of the UK.

How long does the Certificate take to complete?

This will depend on how you choose to study. On average, students complete this course in around 6 months.

What educational level is the NEBOSH General Certificate?

The Fire Certificate is a level 3 (EQF) qualification which is the equivalent to A-levels in the UK.

What happens if I fail the exams?

If you do not pass your exams, you can book a re-sit with our exams team.

How long are the exams?

Units IGC1 and FC1 are each assessed by a two hour exam.  FC2 is assessed by a 2 hour work based practical assessment.

Can the exams be completed online?

Exams need to be completed at one of our assessment centres. This will be pre-arranged with our exams team.

Can I buy past exam papers?

Past papers are not available for any NEBOSH courses; however you can access an example question paper with examiners feedback on expected answers on the Nebosh website.

Can I try the e-learning course before I enrol?
