NEBOSH International Diploma

is made up of four units which need to be completed within 5 years:

    - 189 Hours

Assessed by a 3 hour written exam

  • Unit IB: International Control of Hazardous Agents in the Workplace

    - 115 Hours
    • Principles of Chemical Control, Toxicology and Epidemiology
    • Hazardous Substances Assessment of Risk; Engineering Controls and Personal Protective Equipment
    • Monitoring and Measuring
    • Biological Agents
    • Noise and Vibration; Radiation

Assessed by a 3 hour written exam

  • Unit IC: International Workplace and Work Equipment Safety

    • Work Equipment – General; Workplace Machinery; Mobile, Lifting and Access
    • Electrical Safety

    • Pressure System Hazards and Controls

Assessed by a 3 hour written exam

  • Unit ID: International Application of Health and Safety, Theory and Practice- 56 Hours

Assessed by an 8,000 word work based project

The NEBOSH International Diploma builds on knowledge that is gained from studying a NEBOSH Certificate, or similar course, and it is highly recommended that such a qualification is gained before starting the NEBOSH Diploma course.

Units IA, IB and IC of the NEBOSH International Diploma are each assessed by a three-hour written examination. Unit D is assessed by an 8,000 word work based project.
