Course Objectives

The objectives of the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SMSTS-R) course are to update and refresh the knowledge to enable delegates to:

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SMSTS-R) course refreshes and updates the knowledge related to:

Managing health and safety
Responsibilities of Supervisors and Managers
Measuring and auditing health and safety performance
Control of hazards and risks

Assessment

The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher is assessed by a short (50 question) multiple-choice exam, three exercises, a case study, and a tutor review. The tutor review may include short-answer tests, oral questions and answers, simulated practical exercises, role-play and problem-solving activities.

Entry Requirments

This course is only available to those who hold a valid current SMSTS certificate, so the course must be attended before the existing SMSTS expires (5 years from the date of issue).
