RRC Associate Tutors

Are you an experienced Health and Safety or Environmental trainer or interested in becoming one? RRC International are looking to expand our pool of freelance tutors to help us deliver accredited courses and bespoke corporate training. We deliver classroom and live online virtual courses, with the latter forming the bulk of our course delivery to public and corporate customers.

As a freelance tutor you will use our highly effective trainer packs, customising the lesson plans and materials as needed to deliver engaging training experiences to our customers that meet their needs, awarding body requirements and RRC quality standards.

Experience delivering training via Webex, GoToTraining, MS Teams or Zoom would be highly desirable, though training will be provided if you haven’t used those but have good computer literacy. You will also receive guidance and support from our development team and our subject matter experts.

You should be an experienced Health, Safety and Environment practitioner with experience of delivering training, have an interest in professional development and an understanding of professional bodies and qualification requirements in your field of practice.

The work will be varied and depending on your experience, skillset and interests, we may ask you to deliver training in-person, virtually, support our e-Learning students or produce training resources and activities.

Please review the requirements below. If you don’t quite meet the essential requirements we would still love to hear from you as we would look to work with you in becoming an approved trainer. You could also still work on developing materials with us.

Experience / Skills / Qualifications
Appropriate Health and Safety or Environmental qualification at level 3 or 6, preferably the NEBOSH/IOSH qualification you are looking to deliver or equivalent recognised qualification.
5+ years of industry experience as a Health and Safety manager, Environmental manager or consultant, or 10+ years as a Health and Safety Practitioner
Chartered member of a Health and Safety or Environmental professional body, or membership level that reflects your qualifications.
Active in keeping up to date with best practice, legislative and regulatory requirements in your field
Experience of delivering training to mixed ability groups either at work or in public and corporate settings
Experience of delivering NEBOSH, IOSH or IEMA courses
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in an engaging and accessible way
Experience delivering training online using virtual meeting tools such as Webex, GoToTraining, MS Teams or Zoom
Experience of customising lesson plans, presentations and activities to suit the audience and achieve learning and assessment outcomes
Ability to devise/adapt activities to make the most of the setting e.g. classroom or virtual meeting
Up-to-date with awarding body course specifications and assessments or a willingness to spend time doing this
Good computer literacy and a willingness to learn new tools/software
Language skills are an added bonus. We are currently offering courses in English, Arabic, French, Georgian, Russian and Spanish with plans to expand to other languages

You will receive support and guidance from our team and experienced RRC tutors when you work with us.

As previously mentioned we also have opportunities for creating training resources and activities for qualification courses and corporate training. Some examples of resource and activities development are:
