ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice

Helping You Make Work Safer and More Sustainable

Do I need to complete the NVQ Certificate before the Diploma?

It is not essential that you complete the Certificate first. However, you need to be working in a health and safety role that will enable you to gather the evidence needed for your portfolio.

Can I complete the NVQ Diploma if I am not in the UK?

The NVQ Diploma is available worldwide.

How do I know if the ProQual NVQ Level 6 Diploma is right for me?

To enrol on the RRC Proqual NVQ Level 6 Diploma you will need to complete initial assessment and SkillScan forms before we can accept you onto the course. The questions are framed around the learners work experience, helping us decide whether an NVQ is suitable for the learner. This will also help the learner identify any skills gaps, sections where they might have difficulty and the best areas to start their evidence gathering.

If it is determined that you are not in a position to succeed at an NVQ, RRC will let you know and offer alternatives. You will not be charged for the course until the self-assessment has been completed and it is confirmed you will be able to complete the course.

Will I be charged if RRC believes the NVQ Diploma is not right for me?

No, RRC will only charge you for the course once we have confirmed you are in a position to be successful based on your initial assessment and SkillScan forms.

How long does it take to complete the ProQual NVQ Level 6 Diploma?

You can start the course at any time and typically takes 6-24 months to complete.

What is the difference between the NEBOSH Diploma and Proqual Level 6 NVQ Diploma?

The Proqual Level 6 NVQ Diploma is a vocational qualification which gives you the opportunity to develop and demonstrate skills through your workplace while also extending your knowledge of Health and Safety. Unlike the NEBOSH Diploma, which is assessed through a formal assessment at the end of each unit, the ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma is evidence-based. Evidence is reviewed throughout to determine you are meeting the skills, knowledge and understanding required for each unit.
