The NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management provides a good overview of environmental management systems, including the relevant legal requirements in the UK for control of environmental hazards. It is suitable for:

The NEBOSH Environmental Certificate course is split into two units of study, each of which is assessed separately:

Unit NEC1: Management and Control of Environmental Hazards

Foundations of Environmental Management
Environmental Management Systems
Environmental Impact Assessments
Control of Emissions to Air
Control of Contamination of Water Sources
Control of Waste and Land Use
Sources of Use of Energy and Energy Efficiency
Control of Environmental Noise
Planning for and Dealing with Environmental Emergencies

Assessment

Unit NEC1 of the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is assessed by a two-hour written exam. Unit NEC2 is assessed by a workplace-based practical assessment (an environmental review of a workplace).

Exams take place in March, June, September, and December. We have exam centres in over 80 countries worldwide and we make all the arrangements for you.

All of our courses contain plenty of exam practice to ensure you are fully prepared for the exam. Many of our trainers are also NEBOSH examiners, so they're well placed to provide advice and guidance throughout your course.
