NEBOSH Construction Certificate

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate course is split into three units of study, each of which is assessed separately:

• Unit NCC1: Managing and Controlling Hazards in Construction Activities

  • Musculoskeletal
  • Work Equipment
  • Electrical Safety
  • Fire Safety
  • Chemical and Biological Health
  • Physical and Psychological Health
  • Working at Height
  • Excavation Work and Confined Spaces
  • Demolition and Deconstruction
• Unit NCC2: Workplace-Based Practical Assessment

You must complete all units within 5 years to achieve the full NEBOSH Construction Certificate qualification.

When you enrol on the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate with RRC you will also receive a complimentary copy of our RRC Health and Safety Law and Case Law Guide.

NGC1 is the core unit for all of the NEBOSH National Health and Safety Certificates, so to gain a NEBOSH Certificate you need to study NGC1 along with the relevant specialist unit and practical assessment.

If you have been awarded a NEBOSH Certificate in the last 5 years and wish to take another, you will be exempt from NGC1 and can simply 'top up' with the specialist unit and practical assessment to achieve the new award.

Units NGC1 and NCC1 of the NEBOSH Construction Certificate are each assessed by one two-hour written examination. Unit NCC2 is assessed by a two-hour practical assessment carried out in your workplace (or on a construction site).

Exams take place in March, June, September and December. We have exam centres in over 80 countries worldwide and we make all the arrangements for you.

All of our courses contain plenty of exam practice to ensure you are fully prepared for the exam. Many of our trainers are also NEBOSH examiners, so they're well placed to provide advice and guidance throughout your course.
