The CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) aims to promote improvements in environmental and public health policy, providing information, evidence and policy advice to local and national government, and environmental and public health practitioners in the public and private sectors.
To help its aims, the CIEH provides a range of safety related qualifications and training courses that meet the demand for various skill levels within organisations. CIEH courses are described in levels:
- Level 1 - aimed at those new to the workplace or role, requiring basic training
- Level 2 - aimed at those who are actively involved in the course subject area
- Level 3 - aimed at those requiring the knowledge and have a supervisory role
- Level 4 - aimed at those requiring the knowledge and have a management and/or training role
